Quite a unique product and of some utility. Except it fails to document Japanese efforts at the 60 day mark pretty much failing to protect lives and property, assist in future economic activity and conduct open analysis allowing public input on public decisionmaking. I also believe the 25 initial pages of the report devoted to biography could have been used instead to beef up the analysis of what has gone right and wrong so far in the response of the Japanese polity and private sector.
Japan now looking like offstream economically. Note, e.g., Toyota profits declined 77% largely due to the earthquake March 11th in the most recent quarter.
