The Diva has just returned from Colorado, having participated in the Hazards Workshop sponsored by the Hazards Center at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

There were 500 people in attendance, which is a record.  Quite a number of international visitors and many old timers came.  This was the first conference for the new director of the Center, Lori Peek, and many people came to be supportive.  Funding and staffing cuts have been a recent issue for the Center.
