As an American, I’m embarrassed by this kind of scaremongering and shoddy reporting. A 2.7% budget cut is not Armageddon. If we do not accept a small amount of pain now, the hole we’re digging just gets deeper – and the pain we will feel later when we fall in, more excruciating.
I’m sorry, but the fear-mongering and shoddy reporting has been in relation to the largely false debt and entitlement crisis, not the very real and certainly largely very undesirable sequester cuts that are about to occur to many very basic services.
