Making the federal system less onerous for individuals to navigate is a worthwhile goal. But this article also seems to assume that every household should have the expectation to be made whole after a disaster, and as quickly as possible, and an expectation that HUD will always pay to rebuild everything. There are many things wrong with this assumption.
