About two weeks ago I posted a notice about a new report titled Streamlining Emergency Management. So far I have not talked to any who has read it fully or who is planning to act on any or the recommendations. I would love to hear if anyone cares about the findings.

I read it and was fascinated. The findings make a ton of sense… But… well… seeing Congress coming together to change FEMA just doesn’t seem realistic. Right now we’re seeing more and more of the SHSP grant being dedicated to terrorism and “national priorities” while FEMA says climate change is a national priority. The grant allotment forbids using any of the funds for anything related to climate change…
