Two New White House Memos

I am not sure quite sure how a White House memo differs from an executive order, but here are two new ones. (1) Presidential Memorandum: Building National Capabilities for Long-Term Drought Resilience:  Memorandum for the Heads of Executive Departments and Agencies, and (2) a 37-page memo on Commitments to Action on Building a Sustainable Water Future.

And one more item re the Water Summit held this week, sponsored by the White House.

FOOTNOTE: Thanks to two readers I now know more about executive memos. See:

Executive Memos have same effect as Executive Orders in terms of force of law, but are released with less pomp and circumstance.

Executive Orders are published sequentially and numbered and have legal status.  But a memo is just an internal directive with no external applicability to the public.

E.Os have more status!
