As noted in an earlier posting, Gov. Cuomo of NY set up 3 special commissions to provide advice and direction regarding mitigation and recovery efforts after Hurricane Sandy. To be honest, I feel like these folks simply stated the obvious. There are no new or innovative ideas here. The most significant issue is funding. The entire United States, the East Coast in particular, has a horribly aging infrastructure. The only thing that will fix it is money.
I have only taken a quick look at the report so far, but the recommendations do seem to be predictable.
